LOW CARB STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE

This easy to make smoothie is perfect any time of day, a quick breakfast, a healthy snack, post workout refuel or as a calorie-controlled meal replacement, you decide. Simply throw the ingredients into your mixer and blend away. What could be easier?!

2 cups frozen Strawberries

Unsweetened Almond Milk (or milk of choice)

1 scoop Pretty Pea Protein

1 tbsp Cinnamon

1 tbsp freshly grated Ginger

For an Instagram-worthy smoothie that looks as good as it tastes you can slice some more strawberries and place them around the inside of your glass before pouring.

The addition of cinnamon is perfect for a low carb shake as it helps negate the effects of carbohydrates and reduce blood sugar levels.

Ginger will give your smoothie some bite to its taste but it’s great for your digestion. Fresh ginger is preferred as it will contain even more of the enzymes and phytonutrients that give your body a boost.
